The sensor uses 4 electrode technology: an alternating current of constant voltage is established between the primary pair of graphite electrodes. The secondary platinum electrodes allow for voltage regulation of the primary electrodes to reflect fouling.
The voltage measured between the primary electrodes is a function of the resistance of the material, and thus, the conductivity.


The C4E sensor stores calibration and history data within the sensor. This allows for a plug and play system without the need for re-calibration.
The C4E can be connected to most Dataloggers, Controllers, Automation Systems and Alarms via Modbus RS485 or SDI-12.
